No castle on initiation (first level), but ritual (second level can begin medieval era) allows you to build 2 castles. 3rd level is indoctrination. Can begin in industrial era: one add'l vampire and one add'l castle. 4th level (master plan, begins atomic era) and allows one more vampire and castle. Hope this answers the question.
