How to write a synopsis

Before I show you how to write one, a synopsis has a few industry conventions that you need to know about. A synopsis must: Be in third person, active, present tense. Contain the key plot points and character arc for your novel. Include the ending – no cliffhangers allowed. Be one to two pages long.
