There is nothing wrong with an infinite baffle arrangement theoretically speaking. But, practically speaking, walls make terrible speaker enclosures. Drywall is a particularly poor performer, with a undesirable combination of low stiffness and low damping. Plus, the connection between the drywall and the studs is prone to rattles and buzzes.
