Kitchenaid kdtm354dss4 filter cleaning

Have a model KDTM354DSS4 dishwasher that started growling and did not clean and leaving a lot of water in unit. It does pump some out but left a lot in it. i can't figure out how to take lower spray unit off so I can get in to see if the lower grinder and valve area is clogged up.
