PASSENGER INPUT LEADS TO BIG CHANGES AT SPORTRAN IN 2024. Shreveport, LA --- Based on responses gathered from their Fall 2023 Community Feedback surveys, SporTran is implementing changes to several fixed-bus routes, extending our Zero Fare program, expanding Shreveport Saturday service, and growing service to several areas of Shreveport previously without a bus line beginning January 2, 2024.

OnDemand operates on the same schedule as SporTran's fixed-route service. First pickup times are 5 a.m. and last pickup times are 1:15 a.m. on weekdays; 5 a.m. to 1:15 a.m. Saturdays, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays. If a holiday falls on a weekend, different schedules may apply. Check our website for updates. SporTran announces zero fare rides starting in January 2022. All fares for all vehicles and services inside Shreveport-Bossier City will be free starting on Jan. 2, 2022. This is made possible by a federal grant that will cover the cost of SporTran bus and OnDemand travel in the SporTran service area.
