The crafted gear does provide an extra blade and trap for your school however. If you don't feel like farming waterworks then the crafted gear will do you just fine until darkmoor :)

Waterworks Gear is really just decent gear that worked for a few worlds until Hades gear came out. There's absolutely no reason to nerf it, it's really not all that great anyways. I usually just craft the wintertusk gear and do waterworks 1-2 times for the XP and I usually get at least the hat or robe, but I think it's worth it to get the full set or 2/3 with professors boots. I’ve had decent luck with zigzag, and I preferred it on my fire and storm. Boots are either ww/prof hoard pack. I got the robe 4 times before finally getting the hat and boots, but it only took me a day and under 6 hours. It was probably 4 hours total if you don't include the 2+ hours I spent soloing and also farming zigazag. Also I solo-ed waterworks on one of those runs which took a bit longer so it really doesn't take that long to get waterworks gear. 2.You could do every crafting quest needed to level up, then craft a full set of gear and build a house in less time that it would take to get a set of Tartarus gear, which you would replace in 10 levels anyway. Just stay with whatever you've been using until you reach 100. Farming Tartarus is a waste of time.Zeus gear, waterworks, avalon crafted, Darkmoor and maybe Morganthe and then Dragoon.
